Pahang has the country's most slope-intensive terrain. The Titiwangsa Range backbone runs through it, generating the highland resort towns: Genting Highlands, Cameron Highlands, Fraser's Hill, Bukit Tinggi. Federal corridors cut straight through that backbone, Karak Highway, East Coast Expressway, Central Spine Road. East Coast monsoon rainfall drives recurrent slope failures every November-February.
Three project patterns dominate:
Hill-station development. Despite tightened post-landslide regulations, hotel, residential, and tourism platforms continue to be cut into highland slopes. Stabilization, retaining walls, and platform creation as one package, under Class III/IV slope categorisation.
Highway corridor maintenance and remediation. Karak Highway and East Coast Expressway slopes need permanent maintenance. Post-monsoon emergency response is recurrent. Central Spine Road's slope works (which we delivered: 65,000 m² of face) is the recent reference point.
Monsoon-driven post-landslide remediation. Rural Pahang slopes, state roads through Bentong, Raub, Temerloh, and the Pahang side of Cameron Highlands, see periodic emergency slope works after slope failures.
