Micropile contractor in Malaysia.

Infraconcrete is a CIDB G7 micropile contractor delivering design-build 150-300 mm grouted micropile across all Malaysian states. We specialise exclusively in micropile and handle every common drilling method: rotary open-hole (uncased), rotary with temporary casing, rotary with permanent casing, down-the-hole (DTH) hammer for rock sockets, rotary-percussive for mixed ground, and Odex overburden-with-simultaneous-casing for difficult ground. Capability built on our established soil-nailing drilling and grouting base. Petaling Jaya HQ; nationwide service. WhatsApp borehole log and foundation sketch for same-day indicative quote.

01 / What a micropile contractor does

Full design-build scope.

A micropile contractor takes responsibility for the complete pile delivery: ground characterisation review, pile design (geometry, reinforcement, grout, bond length), drilling, reinforcement installation, grouting, curing, load testing, and documentation for Professional Engineer sign-off. Infraconcrete covers all of this under one contract. Where ground data is thin, we coordinate the additional borehole programme; where PE sign-off is already in place, we execute to the approved drawings; where load testing is required, we coordinate with the independent testing agency.

02 / Six drilling methods we handle

Method selected per ground condition.

MethodGround conditionWhy
Rotary open-hole (uncased)Self-supporting: stiff residual soil, weathered rock grade III and betterFastest and cheapest where ground allows. Water, air, or mud flush.
Rotary with temporary casingSoft or loose overburden over competent stratumStandard Malaysian hillside method. Casing extracted during Type B pressure grouting; grout bonds directly to ground.
Rotary with permanent casingHigh lateral load, aggressive ground, buckling resistance requiredCasing becomes part of the composite structural section.
Down-the-hole (DTH) hammerHard rock (grade II / I weathered granite, fresh granite, limestone, basalt)Rotary becomes too slow; DTH cuts rock efficiently with air flush.
Rotary-percussiveMixed ground with cobbles or bouldersCombines rotation with percussion without rig changeover.
Odex / Symmetrix / Elemex (overburden-with-simultaneous-casing)Difficult overburden with hard inclusions where conventional casing cannot advanceRing bit at casing shoe drills obstructions out as casing advances.

Many Malaysian hillside projects use two methods per pile: rotary with temporary casing through the residual soil overburden, then DTH into the rock socket. We coordinate both methods on the same rig and crew.

03 / Why Infraconcrete

Seven decision factors.

  1. CIDB G7 licence: highest contractor grade, no tender value limit, qualifies for any project scale.
  2. ISO 9001:2015: accredited quality management system covering design, procurement, execution, QA records.
  3. Micropile specialist: we focus exclusively on micropile. Full attention on the technique.
  4. All drilling methods: rotary, DTH, Odex, cased and uncased, in-house or close partner-network coverage. No ground condition rules us out.
  5. Capability base: micropile shares drilling, grouting, and QA framework with our established soil-nailing service. Not learning from scratch.
  6. BEM Professional Engineer coordination: design review and Form of Approval sign-off handled via our BEM-registered PE network.
  7. Load test coordination: independent ASTM D1143 / D3689 / D3966 testing arranged with recognised agencies.
04 / Where our micropile contractor service applies

Five work categories.

1. New building foundations

Hillside residential and commercial where variable depth to bedrock makes bored pile uneconomic. Rock socket into grade II / III weathered granite.

2. Foundation underpinning

Existing buildings with differential settlement, scour, or added load. See dedicated underpinning page.

3. Basement and low-headroom

3 m clearance smallest rig. Basement extension, crawl-space conversion, lift pit excavation. See basement underpinning page.

4. Slope stabilization

Micropile wall (pali radice in-situ reinforcement) through sliding mass into stable ground. See slope stabilization page.

5. Retrofit micropile

Bridge pier scour countermeasure, seismic retrofit, transmission tower uplift resistance.
