Railway slope & geotechnical contractor in Malaysia.
Specialist slope and ground works on federal rail corridors and metro alignments. Federal-grade rail corridor work delivered with drilled drainage and soil nailing. The horizontal-drain scope on the East Coast Rail Link is one of the largest single-corridor drain installations in Southeast Asia. Soil nailing, rock bolting, horizontal drains, basal reinforcement (StrataTex HSR), MSE walls + bridge abutments (StrataWall + StrataGrid). Single-track logistics, restricted possession windows. CIDB G7.
What we install track-side.
Cut slope reinforcement (track-adjacent)
Soil nailing + shotcrete face on cuts immediately above the rail formation. JKR Class III/IV typical. Drape mesh and rock bolt where rock-mass conditions warrant. Rope-access crews where geometry blocks plant.
Horizontal drains, the lead tool
Drilled subsurface drains lower groundwater table. The single most effective FoS gain when groundwater drives slope distress on rail corridor cuts. 320,000 m drilled on ECRL alone. Standard practice on tropical East Coast and highland alignments.
Basal reinforcement on soft ground
StrataTex HSR woven (PET) basal mat below embankment fill on soft alluvium / peat / marine soil. Common on Malaysian East Coast and lowland railway approaches. Prevents bearing failure under live train load.
MSE walls & bridge abutments
StrataWall (precast panel face) + StrataGrid PET reinforcement for railway embankment retention and bridge abutments. Heights 8-25 m typical. Low-deformation grade required for rail loading.
Reinforced soil slopes (RSS)
StrataSlope at 30°-70° face angle on widening or new alignment cuts. Vegetatable face. Cheaper than vertical wall when ROW allows.
Tunnel portal protection
Soil nail + shotcrete on tunnel approach cuts. Rockfall barriers (100-3000 kJ) above and around portals to ETAG 027. Drape mesh on near-vertical rock above the portal envelope.
How we work in 4-6 hour windows.
Pre-possession planning
Method statement + JSA + look-out / ATWS plan submitted to rail authority weeks ahead. Traffic management plan, signal-isolation requirements, evacuation route documented.
On-track plant or parallel access
Rail-borne rigs for in-track scopes; parallel access road logistics where geometry permits and possession is short. Compact rigs to fit single-track gauge clearance.
Pre-fab + high-cycle production
Geogrid panels pre-cut, drains pre-assembled, shotcrete batched off-site. Each shift hits a strict production target with KPI tracking.
Possession close-out
Track gauge inspection, debris clearance, slope-toe ballast restoration, rail authority sign-off before train pass-through. No exceptions.
Operational-phase monitoring
Inclinometer + crackmeter readings post-shift. Ongoing FoS verification through monsoon. Defect-liability period covers full operational cycle.
Specs every rail corridor uses.
